Crazy Head Animals

Simpaticos animalitos creados tomando como base el cascaron seco de una fruta parecida al coco pero muy pequeña con un diámetro aproximado de entre 2 y 3,5 cm. A este cascaron se le colocan, dependiendo de la figura: patas, alas,y cola con materiales como barro, resina epoxica o mica de plástico.

Todos son fabricados artesanalmente uno por uno y completamente pintados a mano.

La principal característica es que todos tienen la cabeza de madera con un balance interno colgada como un péndulo. y cuando sopla un poco de aire, la cabeza se balancea de un lado a otro dando la sensación de vida. (ver el video)

Funny animals created using as base the outer dry part (shell) of a fruit alike the coconut but very small, that has an aprox diameter between 3/4" and 1 3/8". To these shell the handcraft puts legs, wings or tail, according to the figure, with materials like clay, epoxic resin or plastic.

All of them are handcrafted one by one and completely hand painted.

The main caracteristic is that all animals have a wood head with an inner balance hung as the moving part of an antique clock, so when the wind blows, the head starts moving from side to side giving the sensation of life. (see the movie)

Se podría decir que son un tipo de alebrijes, aun que los alebrijes suelen ser animales fantásticos y estos son en general animales reales de todo tipo, pero con una libertad de colorido y proporción bastante grande.

Estas artesanias NO SON, NI SE RECOMIENDAN COMO JUGUETES, sino mas bien como detalle para coleccionistas por ser muy pequeños. Su tamaño ya terminados puede ir de un diámetro de 3 hasta 9 cm aproximadamente.

En las fotos de abajo usted puede comparar los animalitos con una pluma para distinguir la escala. Y en la otra foto puede observar un grupo de 100 animalitos.

You could consider these animals as a kind of alebrijes although that alebrijes use to be fantastic animals and these are in general real animals of all kind but with a great freedom about colors and proportions.

These handcrafts are not, and WE DON¨T RECOMMEND THEM AS TOYS, they should be considered as collector details because of it´s small size. It´s finished diameter could be between 1 1/4" to 3 1/2" aprox.

- 100 Pieces - These option is thought for stores or people interested in distribute these product and the price is cheaper.

Because of the huge variety of models would be impossible that you could chose, but don´t worry, we will send you a rich selection of models and colors. In the option of 10 pieces all will be completely different and in the option of 100 pieces we will try to repeat as small as possible.
